Alot of the blogs I visit regularly consist of only a few paragraphs, or consist of snippets from other sites for discussion. Long posts, even well written ones, take a specific frame of mind to read, I prefer shorter to the point ones, and maybe a few of them. You gotta think of the attention competition. By the same token, yes you should post regularly - but regularly doesn't have to be daily. Honestly I'd rather see a blog with excellent content twice a month than something like ... say Mashable ... that spams with 70% repeat junk.
