300 Ways To Make It To The Home Page On Digg

I thought I would write an amazing post with all my secrets to make it to the Digg homepage on your first try.

Digg METhere is only one problem, most of the time getting to the Digg home page can be broken down into two parts, writing more content would be a waste of time right!

  • Part one is important, you must write good content.
  • Part two is almost as important, you now ask 299 friends to vote for you. Don’t take no for an answer!

There you have it, 300 ways to make it to the homepage on Digg. Now lets see how fast you can duplicate this grand scheme. Oh, and after you get buried to the bottom of the ocean, be sure to shout to the top diggers, they would love to hear from you. This will make you very popular.

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Hi. New to your blog, most recent RSS add.

Someone should submit this post and title it
“Diggers: Avoid a Beating? Keep on Cheating!”

Hmm…

Mark Laymon @ 3:25 pm

It would only last 2 minutes on Digg

[…] SEO shares the well-kept until now secret of 300 ways to make it to the front page of Digg. I applied only one or two methods so far, but I might try the other ones too, with a little help […]

Had a good laugh on this one.

However, does 300 votes guarantee you a spot on Digg homepage?? And it is also NOT 300 WAYS to get on Digg homepage, but 2 ways :p

SEOZ87 @ 7:10 am

Its more better if you give the names of those 300 contacts

;)

Mark Laymon @ 1:03 pm

@ Lifesperspective, I noted that it is not 300, but 2.

I agree. I want the contact names, too! (But only because its “more better”!) *giggle*

Now I need 299 friends ;) . Good post though and it does take both those things to succeed in social bookmarking

Other than ego. How do you benefit from the Digg Home Page. Maybe some traffic, but is that traffic making you any money.

Digg is kind of a fun pastime, like a game…but I agree, unless you’ve somehow managed to secure dozens of high CPM advertisers for your site, there’s not much to get out a front page listing.

Wow, I expected a huge post based on the title. What a simple plan. Thanks for sharing it. I need to get more friends to pull it off.

WoW, it’s not easy to make 300 friends who can digg everyday. We need to get togather and start a group soon. What you guys say about it?

I like the group idea from Startup business.

Think we could all take a lesson from video/news sites like 5min.com. They’re hated amongst the hardcore-elite of Digg users, but they manage to spam their way on to the front page everytime, and keep it their thanks to new/apathetic Diggers.
