Did this correlate with a change in traffic for anyone?

Thankfully these days people don't take PR as seriously. Imagine if this happened 2 years ago, it would be mayhem.

I had an old domain at a PR2 for a long time. I add a wordpress blog with original content.

Now a PR1. Go figure. Thanks GOOG.

Like a lot of other people, my PR went down but my traffic went up. I really don't know why it went down either. I have never bought or sold a link. Hopefully next update it will go back up.

Google changes in its algorithms against paid links have caused many sites to drop in Page Rank. However, most site still maintains their traffic or even doing better. Our site is one of those…

Last morning one of our sites got a PR increase from 2 to 4 which was very strange because there wasn't any news or signals about Google PR update. Waited a day and this morning it fell back to 3 and stayed there till now. Could this mean a Google PR update coming its way again? Well, we just wait and see…

At this time I hope that the PR change is still a month away.
Last update did not count the last 30 days coming up to the change.
Hope you go back up to a 4.

So does this mean that the Page Rank updates every six months. So does this mean that it will only come in a few months time. How much difference does it make to the search results.

Does any one have any idea, when will next update happen?

Haha, I really dread pageranks updates (and particularly hated the one that happened last week). Every update I seem to have some of my sites have a huge increase in PR, but this is counterpointed by my other sites with a large decrease. :(

I love pagerank, when it goes up, and ignore it when it goes down. Or put in another way: I only admit that I find PR important when my websites increase. If they decrease I pretend to believe that PR isn't important at all :-)

Ah, the PR merry go around…we all dread. I try not to change my strategies and just stick to what works with constantly watching the wheel go round and round…it can drive you crazy!
