The only problem I see with the scheduling of posts is that the news online, SEO industry specifically, is so volatile that I am also trying to write about current events, but at the same time keep writing my planned stories.

Interesting plan, problogger wrote that he plans all his posts for the week on sunday and monday then writes thru the week. Most bloggers are constantly searching or trying to come up with ideas to blog. Planning ahead or knowing that on wednesday of each week you will write on a certain topic could help kill wirters and bloggers block.

I like to post something over the weekend. It does not always need to be very serious or on topic. I have watched my stats over the weekend and it often does not drop very much for the business week. But some niches, like fishing, if you post on the weekend forget getting any response till Sunday evening.

Solid advice – Zen Habits has a strict schedule which allows the readers to know what topic he’ll be posting on each day (and also helps him stick to it I imagine).

I would probably recommend not blogging on Sat/Sun – I mean take a break! If you aim too high you’ll just end up breaking the habit much quicker.

Posting on a regular time frame. That make since.. If I’m not posting on a regular basis then the readers will lose interest and stop coming.

@ Andy, I am the worst at keeping a schedule for posting, that was the motivation to write this. The last post I wrote was on Thursday and it is already Wednesday evening.
