YES! A Shy Search Engine Optimization Expert Meets Social Media Optimization with Explosive Results and Lives to Tell About It! It is a Truly Amazing Story!

How does a very shy and reserved Search Engine Optimization Expert crawl out from the depths of obscurity, then force open the arms of Social Media Optimization with great passion, and make an explosion of interest all around him in 90 days or less?

Close your eyes and step back one year in time with me to a specialized invitation only “Search Engine Optimization and Internet Marketing” conference. Had I run into you there, I could have bet any some of money that you had never heard of my name nor without any hint of expectation, seen a picture of me. Although I could also wager large sums of money that you had been on one of my websites or read one of my articles within the past year. If you had even imagined of searching for Longtail debt related keyword phrases, I know for a fact that it would have been difficult for you not to have seen my work.

This brings me to the evening three months before this very night, as I twisted and turned in bed, listening to an irritating wave machine make me even more discontent. Wishing a deep restful sleep would come soon to my itching computer screen ravaged eyes. I could only contemplate what was all of the options SEO experts could use to monetize Shorttail traffic to paying consumers?

AltaVisitaI have been using the power of Longtail keyword phrases since AltaVista was the all powerful search king. (AltaVista was the Google before Google was cool for all you newbies) But to me, Shorttail was just not or ever would be an option. Converting consumers looking for “two story home on the Intercostal Waterway in Palm Beach County Florida with a grass yard for a dog,” is always much easier than converting consumers searching for “real estate” alone. The Longtail consumer knows what they want, so I gave it to them in mass quantities. I mean truly massive quantities!

Times are changing, as they always do, and I am using WordPress blogs more and more as my coveted tool of choice. But with the use of blogs, as soon as you automate the process, your readership drops to a nonexistent place just south of Santa’s play land. Yes, totally out in the F’ing cold. That just plain SUCKS! I really like to use tools that automate the process of content creation. How can you blame me for not wanting to use tools that pump out thousands of blog posts each day? I wanted to play in a nice warm tropical location with my business laptop in one hand and a fishing rod in the other. Not wish that one day I may just get the chance to lookout my window and not see all this ice and snow! AHH! I failed English class more than once from a lack of interest in writing!

As I lay there in that bed, I remembered long ago reading an ezine written by Jim Daniels on how to build your business with a list. “The list means everything” he tried to drive into our heads. I was an avid reader of his ezine, along with many more. (An ezine is an article sent by email, get with the program will ya?) Each week I would print out the 6 pages or so and go over each one with a yellow highlighter looking for the next hot tip. How does this list building have anything to do with SEO or this new term SMO? (That means social media optimization for those few still stuck in January internet time) It is simple once you think about it. Back 5 or even 10 years ago we all were reading these Internet Marketing ezines. They were the craze of most of the big name marketers. We all wanted to be the “Rock Star” of marketing with an ezine. How many of you recall waiting for “Marketing Tips Newsletter” or one of the many other popular ezines of the day?” Each of these ezines had thousands of avid readers. Today we are using blogs to make ourselves the niche “Rock Stars” and podcasts and vidcasts are creating us into “Super Rock Stars!” But they hold nothing to the “Mega Stars” of some of the social networks! Now add blogging, podcasting, vidcasting, and social media marketing together and they are "Unstoppable Internet Marketing Machines!"

Where do I step into the fray of all these niche marketers? I was scouring a black hat forum one night and Irish Wonder was inviting everyone to visit his Myspace page. Most of us at that time wanted nothing to do with this Myspace crap. It was all for kids right? Now I have come to realize I was wrong about social networks. To shorten this up, I stared seeing more and more social networks showing for some of my keyword terms that I coveted so dearly, since these terms paid my bills at night when I was sleeping. I really did not want to see others now invading my territory. Shortly after this I ran into one of the greatest linkbaiters of all internet time. He pointed out how we could dominate the social networks if we just studied and made them our own money making slaves.

Digg Me!So here I am creating my “Power Profiles” on each of the major social networks. But in the time spent creating these profiles, I have come to enjoy working with many people on each of these social networks. One place that I opened a profile to study where I can comment spam turned out to be one of my favorites. I have met about 30 people in this network and associate with many of them offline several times per week. Another one I have created a power user profile so strong that just mentioning a blog will send hundreds if not thousands of readers to it. I also have learned the effects of servers crashing from spikes of traffic that make hard drives smoke in agonizing terror!

The last year has been a very educational event for me. I have met some really good friends. Some of my new friends are located in exotic countries, that I would never thought I would be interested in visiting, but now I have considered visiting them in the near future. What does this say? Am I ready to only create niche whitehat blogs, with no automated toys, for the rest of my days online?

Blackhat SEO Equals Making Money Online

Ahh! Who am I kidding? Ralph when is the next update to shadowMaker? I also wonder how many times I can spin this post and would it pass the Google duplicate content filter?
